Literacy Night 2013

What a fun night we had last night! Miss Kay, as well as Miss  Debbie, and Mrs. Kuglin recited and performed three western themed nursery rhymes. The rhymes were Humpty Dumpty, Little Miss Muffet, and Diddle Diddle Dumpling. After the performances, a choice of several literacy activities were given for everyone. Thanks parents for taking the time to be a part of such a worth while event!

Ahoy Matey!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Stephen Fite's Pirate Adventure. After the concert we enjoyed a fine dinner at McDonald's and some time on the play equipment. A huge thank you to all parents who attended and helped make our day special!

Afternoon Class Clowns

Aren't they absolutely adorable? Like the morning group, the afternoon children will also be attending the all day "Pirate" trip on April 2nd. We would like to welcome Ashlyn and Tryston to our afternoon class.

Clowning around with the Morning Class

A couple of weeks ago we ended our "Clown" theme with painting of faces. What a fun week! On April 2 we will be headed to Topeka for our big "Pirate" outting. Be watching for fun photos!

March News!

We would like to welcome Aaliyha and Duke to our morning class! On Monday we will be adding Ashlyn to our PM class. This puts our total to 18 in the morning and 10 in our afternoon. WOW! :) We have some pretty exciting things coming our way. Next week starting Monday, we will be cheering Mrs. Hufford's third grade class with daily motivators during state assessments. Parent Teacher conferences will be held March 12 from 4-8 and March 14 from 4-8. A note will come home on Monday.  Spring break is scheduled for March 15-March 24. During this time I will be taking a mission trip to New York, Staten Island to work with the recovery from Hurricane Sandy. Role model screening for the 2013-2014 will be held the second week of April and our big field trip will be April 2nd. I can't believe it is this close to the end of school! Have a great snow day tomorrow! Bring on the snow! :)

We have been working on making snowmen as long as our names. The next day we compared them with our peers to see whose was longest and whose was shortest. We also counted letters in our name.
